The ECO dance company conducts a series of actions to raise artistic awareness among all kind of audiences. Following his previous experience in this field, Emilio Calcagno likes this spontaneous, raw and intense work among non-professional audiences.

ECO’s type of interventions tends to take three main forms: WORKSHOPS focused on practice; DANCED CONFERENCES and VIDEO-READINGS to help preparing on how to  see and understand a choreographic piece.

• Improvising, composing, finding your own vocabulary and your own way of dancing… these are the ingredients of an educational approach. The WORKSHOPS are the opportunity to build a true artistic exchange between audiences and dances and a dialogue between dance and other artistic disciplines.
• The goal of those DANCED CONFERENCES, presented in the form of public rehearsals, is to propose an interactive moment mixing show extracts and meetings with the artistic team. They offer keys to reading on the creation process, on the topics and on the creative bias.
• True intimate moment between the choreographer and the audience, the VIDEO READINGS lead to a discussion on the creation process of the work.
